The Creative Revolution Method
By following a simple creative framework, we view our work holistically and take responsibility for design work far beyond just coming up with a great idea or producing finished art.
Strategic Design
We call our method ‘Strategic Design’ and we apply this four-step creative framework throughout all of our work: from web design, brand strategy and logo design, to social media, advertising, and digital marketing campaigns.
Discover
Step one: uncover the direction and purpose of the project or campaign
The first stage of Strategic Design is about fully understanding the scope of the project. Discussions, research, specifications, and ideas: these are all ways that we discover what the design needs to be and provide a spark for the creative process.
Design
Step two: high-level creative and conceptual design
The second stage applies creative energy to the task of creating a vision of the design project. The design at this stage is not yet fully resolved in a finished form, instead providing a creative vision and clear direction for further development in the next stage.
Develop
Step three: fully realise the design vision
With a clear vision in place, our Strategic Design project is further developed to a finished state ready for deployment. We expand and complete the initial design, being careful to remain true to the initial vision established in the design phase.
Deploy
Step four: successfully launch the creative project
The finished project is now launched, published, aired, or implemented. Depending on the project, deployment looks different, but it is always important to pay attention to the finer details to ensure a smooth takeoff and a successful website, brand, or digital campaign.
An Elite Team of One +
Since starting Creative Revolution in 2006, Ché Stevenson has been the creative force behind many successful brands, websites, and campaigns.
Ché is personally involved in delivering every project at Creative Revolution, bringing to bear varied experience in design and branding, web design and project management, digital marketing, and business management.
Additional creative specialists – photographers, copywriters, videographers, artists, illustrators, etc – are brought in as the needs of the project demand, selected from a pool of talented local creatives we know and trust.
“I often say that I'm a rare combination of art and science: with the left-brain analytical mindset of a scientist and the lateral thinking and restless creativity of an artist.”
And when reflecting on my career to date, I see that this dichotomy is at once my greatest strength and my achilles heel: I need to be stimulated in both the analytical and creative spheres, finding myself unfulfilled when I lean too far in one direction.
But when I am able to exercise both sides I can achieve great things! Which is why I am in my element when my hands are dirty: digging deep in the weeds of a project! I do my best work – and achieve the best results – when I work end-to-end on a project: planning, designing, developing, and launching brands, websites and digital campaigns.
That’s my happy place. :)

Create to connect
Design is a bridge. We reach across the gulf between organisations and audiences by connecting our clients’ goals with the wants and needs of their potential customers.
Deliver results
We don't provide services, we deliver results. Our creative talents are a vessel though which we help clients to achieve their goals. When we deliver tangible results, we deliver true value.
Delight in the details
We surprise and delight audiences through careful attention to detail, believing that the difference between good and great design is in sweating the details others overlook.
For mutual benefit
Provide value and nail the basics and the profits will flow. In our own practice and through our clients, we promote a customer-first mindset that fosters reciprocity for sustainable growth.
Exceed expectations
We will not rest until our clients are totally satisfied. This means we hold ourselves to the highest standards of design and performance and relish in delivering above expectations.
Boutique by design
Small is good: we prefer to stay lean, fast, and flexible. Scale adds weight and hampers creativity, so we choose to harness the focused energy of an elite team of talented creatives.
